Book titles inside a reading note
Use italics to set a book title apart from the sentence around it. For example, keep โTonight I am readingโ in plain text and style only โPride and Prejudice.โ In a document that supports formatting, use the editorโs italic command instead. A copyable version is useful for a short reading update in a plain-text field, but it should not replace the ordinary title in a catalog or search query.
Quotations with a clear speaker
For a brief quote, style the quoted words and leave the attribution plain. That gives the quotation a visual boundary without making the speakerโs name harder to search. The samples below are original example phrases, not quotations attributed to real authors. Add your actual source when sharing someone elseโs words.
Subtitle-style captions versus actual subtitles
A small italic second line can act as a subtitle under a photo heading: โWeekend notesโ followed by โA slower way home.โ This is a visual caption treatment, not an SRT or VTT subtitle converter. For timed subtitles and accessibility captions, preserve ordinary characters and use formatting supported by the player or subtitle editor.
Style the title, keep the context
Enable the specific-words option and enter the words in the title separated by commas. The feature matches whole words wherever they occur, not one selected phrase occurrence. If the same word appears elsewhere, it will change there too; for precise phrase placement, generate the phrase alone and paste it into your original sentence.
