A font look, made from characters
A traditional font changes how the same letters are drawn. This generator instead replaces supported letters with different Unicode characters. That distinction is why the result can keep its styled appearance when pasted into a plain-text field, but cannot be used as a downloadable typeface.
Serif or sans serif?
The Italic style has small finishing strokes and a book-like feel. Sans Serif Italic has simpler letter shapes. For a short profile phrase, compare both using your actual text: narrow letters, capitals and repeated characters can change the overall balance. Bold versions add weight as well as a slant.
When a real italic font is the better choice
For a website, document or long passage, use the editor’s italic formatting or a CSS font style. That preserves ordinary searchable text. Reserve copyable Unicode for short decorative phrases in fields where formatting is unavailable. Some fonts do not contain every character, so always check the pasted result.
